What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They help the site remember information about your visit — for example, whether you've accepted this notice, or which pages you've looked at.
They don't contain personal information on their own and cannot run programmes or deliver viruses. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can choose to refuse or delete them at any time — we'll explain how further down this page.
We use cookies to keep our site working correctly, understand how visitors use it, and make your experience a little more consistent when you return.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always activeThese cookies are necessary for the website to work properly. Without them, things like the cookie preference centre itself would not function. They cannot be switched off.
- Storing your cookie consent choice
- Maintaining basic session integrity
- Keeping security-related settings active
Duration: Session & up to 12 months
Analytics Cookies
OptionalThese help us understand how people navigate our site — which pages are visited most, how long people stay, and where visitors come from. All data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
- Counting page visits and unique sessions
- Identifying which content is most helpful
- Measuring how the site performs across devices
Provider: Google Analytics | Duration: Up to 2 years
Marketing Cookies
OptionalThese cookies allow advertising partners to show relevant content on other platforms based on your visit here. We use them sparingly; our programmes are educational and we don't pursue aggressive remarketing.
- Recognising repeat visitors across partner platforms
- Helping relevant content appear on social media channels
- Measuring whether outreach campaigns are effective
Providers: Meta Pixel, Google Ads | Duration: Up to 90 days
Preference Cookies
OptionalThese remember choices you've made on the site — such as dismissing informational banners — so you don't have to repeat them on your next visit.
- Remembering previously dismissed notices
- Storing any display or accessibility adjustments
- Retaining form field state within a session
Duration: Up to 6 months
Manage Your Preferences
Use the toggles above to choose which categories you're comfortable with. Your choice is saved to your browser and will carry across pages on this site. You can return here and change your mind at any time.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies come from third-party services we use to support the site. Each of these providers has their own data practices which sit outside our direct control — we've linked to their policies below.
How Long Do Cookies Last?
Session Cookies
These exist only while your browser is open. They are removed automatically when you close the tab or browser window.
Persistent Cookies
These remain on your device until they expire or you delete them manually. Most of our optional cookies fall in the 30-day to 2-year range.

Mobile Browsers
On Android and iOS, cookie settings are usually found under the browser's main Settings → Privacy or Site Settings menu.
For Chrome on Android, tap the three-dot menu → Settings → Site settings → Cookies.
For Safari on iPhone, go to Settings (iOS app) → Safari → Privacy & Security.
Clearing cookies on mobile will sign you out of most sites, so save any important work first.
Your Rights and Controls
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you have the right to know what data we hold about you and to withdraw consent at any time. Because most of our cookies are used for analytics and basic site operation rather than collecting personal information, withdrawing cookie consent here is the primary control available.
Withdrawing consent: Use the toggles on this page or click "Essential Only" to remove all optional categories. Changes take effect immediately and are stored for up to 12 months.
Impact of disabling optional cookies: The site will continue to work fully. Analytics and marketing functions will be inactive, which means we may be less able to improve the site based on usage patterns, and you may see less relevant content on third-party platforms.
Questions or concerns: Write to us at [email protected] and we'll respond within five working days.
